Youth Activities
Young Israel is the place to be for children. YI is filled with great activities and learning opportunities for every age. In addition to regular Shabbatot where hundreds of children enjoy our family-friendly environment, we host a vibrant B’nei Akiva program.
Tot Shabbat
While families are encouraged to come to any Shabbat at Young Israel, every other week we host a Tot-Shabbat service in our playroom starting at 10:45! The program is geared towards children age 0 – 3 with an adult, is led by community volunteers, and consists of singing, tfila, dancing and play! To sign up to lead a Tot Shabbat, click here on our Calendar or email Norah Mazar. (a curriculum will be provided)
Shabbat Morning Bnei Akiva Groups
Shabbat Morning Bnei Akiva youth groups are held weekly at 10am for ages 3 through grade 6. The youth groups are organized by our Bnei Akiva shlichot, Hila and Yifat, and are led by our own teenage madrichim. During groups your children will participate in tfila, Bnei Akiva peulot (activities) focused on Eretz Yisrael, Chagim and the Parsha, and enjoy fun games and snacks. For children in grade 1 and up, groups end with mifkad and hatikva.
