What defined your time in Boston? Where did you feel most at home and with whom did you feel most connected? Year after year, Young Israel of Brookline continues to serve as a home for Jews looking to find a community that welcomes, builds strong friendships, and allows you to explore your Judaism. This ever growing group of people who have made Young Israel home, have shared many wonderful years with us. The moments and memories you’ve shared with our Young Israel family remain a source of nostalgia which we all look back on with great fondness. Whether you grew up in Brookline, came to Young Israel during University, visited during your Post-Doc, or started your own family here, Young Israel of Brookline has been a source of Yiddishkeit and simcha for families and individuals, including yourself since 1953.

As a way to hold onto these memories, Young Israel of Brookline is proud to announce a new initiative, Alumni 1000, which will be a way for us to connect with past members, share updates, and enable them to reconnect with one another. We are launching a virtual extension of the synagogue, for members from every YIB generation through photos, memories, news updates, as well as access to our member and alumni database, so you can rekindle relationships with old friends. Please register and give us an update of what has been happening in your life, browse through photos and upload your own, or check out the YIB website so you can see what has been happening back here in Brookline!
